Consumers generally have a right of withdrawal in the case of a distance selling contract, including contracts concluded on the internet.

However, according to Section 312g Paragraph 2 Number 8 of the German Civil Code (BGB), there is no right of withdrawal if a distance selling contract concerns the delivery of goods whose price on the financial market depends on fluctuations over which the trader has no influence and which may occur within the withdrawal period. This applies, among other things, to precious metals, products containing precious metals, and diamonds and gemstones.
